CENTER FOR AUTISM RESEARCH - AUTISM ROADMAP

The CAR Autism Roadmap, developed by the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), provides an interactive guide for parents and families of individuals with autism. The roadmap offers information and resources for children, youth, and adults, and provides the latest information on treatments and therapies as well as how to get services.  Users can answer a few quick questions to be guided to the most helpful information, or choose to go directly to the timelines where they can access information about:

The number of individuals with autism spectrum disorder in Pennsylvania has grown rapidly in the past decade and is expected to continue to grow in the coming years.  The 2014 Pennsylvania Autism Census Update was an effort of the ASERT funded by the Bureau of Autism Services within the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.

2011/2018 PENNSYLVANIA AUTISM NEEDS ASSESSMENT REPORTS

More than 8,000 autistic individuals and their caregivers completed the 2018 PA Autism Needs Assessment. The assessment lets us learn about the needs and experiences of people on the autism spectrum and their families/caregivers. The information collected from the survey is intended for service providers, community organizations and leaders, and advocacy groups to better understand and address the needs of individuals on the spectrum in Pennsylvania.


ABA IN PA INITIATIVE

The ABA in PA Initiative is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit advocacy organization made up of parents, industry professionals, and lawmakers dedicated to change the future for all children in Pennsylvania with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by ensuring access to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy via Medical Assistance.
